Zion is calling me to a "Higher Place of Praise"

Isaiah 40:9 (NASB) “Get yourself up on a high mountain, O Zion, bearer of good news, Lift up your voice mightily, O Jerusalem, bearer of good news; Lift it up, do not fear. Say to the cities of Judah, “Here is your God!”

Standing on top of Mount Zion I heard the song “Zion is calling me to a higher place of praise. So I began to sing… Zion is calling me to a higher place of praise. To stand up on the mountain, and magnify His name. To tell all the people and every nation that He reigns. Zion is calling me to a higher place of praise.

I could sense the presence of God so strongly. From that day forward, I have been listening to what the Spirit has to say to me. Here is one my thoughts.

We are in a season of change. I have heard so many of God’s people confirm this word. Prior to leaving for Israel, the Holy Spirit spoke to me that there was an “Exodus” occurring in the spirit. To leave bondage behind and be willing to allow God to take us into His freedom. The children of Israel were in bondage in Egypt. They were in slavery. The question that came to my mind is, when did they realize they were in slavery? Slavery didn’t happen when they felt the visible chains. A slavery mindset happened long before their physical captivity. When we are not lead by the Holy Spirit and rely on and lean upon our own understanding, we are on our way to slavery. (Romans 8:14-15) Before you know it, you are captive. Captive to a wrong way of thinking which leads to a wrong way of doing. Proverbs 14:12 says “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is death”. This is a time when God desires for us to get rid of what is dead. We are “bearers of good news”. The world will only see Jesus and His glory, when we allow Jesus to be seen in us. For this to happen, we must be willing to allow the Holy Spirit to purge us of what isn’t of Him. (Hebrews 9:14) How will we know what isn’t of Him? The only way to know is by giving the Holy Spirit access into our lives. When He comes, He speaks truth. (John 16:13) Many of us must choose to re-dedicate our lives back to Christ. Perhaps, like me, you need to make some adjustments. (1 John 1:9). Start with this simple scripture prayer:

Father, turn my heart toward Your statues and not toward selfish gain, turn my eyes away from worthless things and preserve my life according to Your word. Create in me a clean heart and renew the right spirit within me in Jesus name, I pray. Amen
